Route Setting

GETTING STARTED
  • Anyone interested in route setting must be certified by the Co-op.
  • Everyone must attend a Route Setting Night before they can set on an individual basis.
  • Please contact us at info@mnclimbingcoop.com if you have any questions.

GENERAL INFO

  • Route Setting is permitted during off peak hours.
  • All NEW boulder problems must have a route tag.
  • Be respectful of other climbers. If you have to ask yourself if it’s too crowded to set, it’s too crowded.
  • DO NOT use impact drills on the vertical orange wall. Use ONLY hand wrenches.
  • DO NOT use impact drills with clay holds. Use ONLY hand wrenches.
  • Tape over any hold spinner with a large "X."
  • A Property Loan Agreement must be completed, if you would like to donate holds.
ROUTE SETTING NIGHTS
  • Regular Route Setting Nights and cancellations will be listed on the Events page or the Co-op Calendar.
  • A section of wall is completely stripped and reset.
  • This is the ONLY time route setters can strip an entire section of wall.
